        In this article, the author explained us about how to bring awareness in mountainous in Nepal about major eye diseases. He used a random sampling method to select the study populations from two mountainous districts. Therefore, it can’t be generalized to all mountainous region of the country. A trained senior ophthalmic assistant had conducted an interview for 18 years and above by visiting house to house by using a semi-structured questions.

        As a result, he found that from1668 people the most of the people i.e., 59% of the people have awareness on cataract, 55% on ocular trauma and 18% on glaucoma. The total 91.1% people responded that they reported their knowledge about vision loss due to cataract, 88.5% for ocular trauma, 85.5% for glaucoma and 65.1% for refractive error. Overall 46% respondents had received the information about major eye diseases from their “neighbor, friends and relative who were affected by eye disease. In this article, the authors had done research that how much mountaineers have awareness on major blinding eye diseases.

The main characteristics of the eye in dealing with the diseases are Sight and corneal damage etc, in this journal one can be leaned about the disease caused by the corneal damage and other parts of the eye.

        The main disease caused by eye is Night blindness and colorblindness. As many people didn’t aware of these diseases.
